Lows & Highs: 11/6-11/13/12

Low: The ‘check engine’ light on my car has been on for several days & we haven’t figured out what is causing it.

Highs: 1) My dad replaced my spark plugs in the cold, drizzly weather on Sunday (now that’s a great dad!). 2) Alec and Veronica returned from their honeymoon last weekend and stopped by to visit before Bible study on Tuesday evening. It was the first time I had gotten to visit and catch up with Veronica in several months since she has been so busy with wedding plans and moving.

Lows & Highs is a Stories from the Stairs weekly feature. Feel free to join in by posting your lows and highs in the comments or by posting a link to your lows and highs blog post.

  1. Lows; typically missed.
High; I am going to Thailand and China for work in January.

For your car; google ‘Scan Gauge’ and order one. They are crazy simple and worth their price. I use mine all the time and loan it out too when my friends have a ‘check engine’ light on.

    • Wow, Thailand sounds exciting and I really enjoyed China when I went several years ago! Have some fried dumplings for me. 🙂

I ended up taking my car to the local auto parts store because they offer free code readings for check engine lights. The car will be in at the mechanics’ shop today and will – I hope – be ready for to go on Thanksgiving travels.
