What I’m Into (September 2014)

Techie

Preparing for my 31 Days series, “Abby’s Apps,” coming in October.

Clothes

I have been unable to find casual tops that I like (and I usually dislike the fruitless nature of shopping for clothes for myself anyway), so I redesigned some basic t-shirts to be cuter and more my style. (The two peplum-style ones are not shown.)

Food

With the weather getting a little cooler, I have a renewed delight in hot tea. My current favorites are the Stash Decaf Chai and White Christmas teas.

We found a delicious marinade recipe for grilled chicken and have used it twice this month.

When I asked my college girls what sorts of things I should share with them on my blog, they gave me a list of recipes they want from me.

One of the girls’ favorite recipes is my Science Mom Hot Chocolate MixHot Chocolate

Random Fun

Wow, this elephant’s skills are mind-blowing. I would really love to have one of these prints! Maybe I will put it on my Christmas wishlist.

I made a sweet drawing kit for a cute five-year-old.

Watching

On TV: Many of our usual shows are back for the fall season, as well as some new ones we are trying out. So far, my favorite returning shows are NCIS and The Blacklist. My favorite new show is NCIS: New Orleans. We are also trying out Gotham.

On Netflix: I have been watching Arrow for the past few weeks and trying to decide if the characters’ are annoying or endearing. If you have seen it, what do you think?

What were you into in September?

Linking up with Leigh Kramer to share what I’ve been into lately.

Hi Abby! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I wanted to say I tried Arrow but it didn’t stick for me – however, my husband likes it and is excited that the new season is now on Netflix. I’m more of a Parenthood/Good Wife sort of watcher. Although we may get into The Blacklist now that it’s on Netflix! As if we have time to add another show… 🙂
