I’m a 31 Days Rule-Breaker

31 Days Blog Cheerleader

Happy October!

Every year since 2011, I have seen my blog feed and social media explode on October 1 with the beautiful, crazy, sometimes-messy 31 Days kickoff. This year, I am breaking the rules of participation and not setting out to blog every day with all the other lovely, dedicated bloggers.

Instead, my goal is to be an ardent cheerleader, reading and commenting on the posts that others are working so diligently on. Both times I have participated in 31 Days, I wished I had more time for reading posts and leaving encouraging comments. This year, that is exactly what I am going to do. You won’t see daily posts here, but I do hope to share links to some of my favorite 31 Days series so that you can follow some of these amazing people, too.

Help Wanted

If you want me to check out your 31 Days series or want to rave about another blogger’s series, leave me a comment and I will check it out!

Aww, how cool is this! I’m writing 31 Days for the first time ever this year, and you can bet that I’m glad there’s people like you out there! I think the scariest thing as a blogger embarking on a project like this is that no one–or almost no one–will read. It’s nice to know that people do actually want to read what we’re writing! My blog is http://www.therandomwritings.com and my series is stories from growing up overseas in Malaysia–I know it won’t be one of those series that go “viral”, but I’m excited about it nonetheless.

    • Rachel, I’m so glad you like the approach. I added your blog to my reader so I can follow along and tried to comment on today’s post but wasn’t able to copy and paste the code because I couldn’t find the “empty box.”

Here’s what I wanted to say: I have had similar experiences in shopping overseas (but not getting hit by motorcycles). I am already enjoying your series, keep up the good work! P.S. Thanks for commenting on my blog!

  2. What a unique twist on the write 31 day series. I’m not participating but I’m enjoying visiting participants.

  3. Well…since you’re offering. 🙂 I just started the blog…after many years of not starting one because I couldn’t figure out what my “niche” was. Lots of kinks to work out but I figured a 31 day challenge might be a good jump start. Would love your feedback! And a cheerleader is always important. https://chriskrebsbach.wordpress.com/31days/

I would love to take you up on the offer of being a cheerleader for my blog. 🙂 This is my first year participating in the 31DayChallenge so any insight and feedback from those who have done this before is readily welcomed.

  6. What a fun idea! 🙂 I did 31 Days of Global Missions with Kids. 🙂
